Our Specialist — James P. Bartels, MD 
As an Otolaryngologist and Facial Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Bartels has over twenty five years of surgical experience of the head, neck and face. This includes Rhinoplasty and Otoplasty (facial plastic surgery of the nose and ears), as well as facial trauma surgery and reconstructive procedures of the head and neck. Less invasive procedures in which he is also an expert include Laser resurfacing of the skin, various injectable fillers and neurotoxins. Beginning in 2002 Dr. Bartels has been affiliated with The Elliot Hospital Medical Spa Within in Manchester, NH where he administered multiple modality facial cosmetic treatments to his patients. Currently patients are treated at the Manchester, NH office. As an active member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Bartels is trained as a specialist of the face and as such is highly qualified to help patients determine the most appropriate treatment plan. In January of 2013, Bartels Facial Rejuvenation was formed to accommodate our ever growing cosmetic practice. Along with SkinMedica and Pelleve new procedures for the face and neck will be available as well.

Injectibles & Minimally Invasive Facial Cosmetics
We are pleased to offer several minimally invasive, non-surgical facial cosmetic procedures at our office. These popular procedures require little to no down time and allow safe reversal of many changes related to aging, such as deep facial folds & lines, wrinkles, loss of tissue volume, loss of skin elasticity and collagen, skin hyperpigmentation, malasma and sun damaged skin. Dr. Bartels uses a multimodality aesthetic rejuvenation approach which takes into consideration both the different treatment modalities available and recovery time intolerance. Dr. Bartels recommends patients begin by rejuvenating the skin from underneath to lay the foundation for the restoration process. By integrating a medical strength SkinMedica™ topical regimen, chemical peels and Pelleve™ patients can expect a better outcome when restoring and preserving beauty. SkinMedica™ can be purchased in our Manchester office or ordered at our online store. Pelleve™ radio frequency for skin tightening is a non surgical procedure that is effective and proven to build collagen. Pelleve™ is recommended for patients who have mild to moderate skin laxity or wrinkles of the face, neck and décolleté. Pelleve is not appropriate for patients with a pacemaker or nerve insensitivity disorders. A series of 4 is recommended for the best outcome. Other non-invasive facial rejuvenation treatments include soft tissue augmentation of the face using Radiesse®, Restylane®, Juvederm®, Perlane®, Belotero Balance® and muscle relaxation with neurotoxins using Botox®, Xeomin® and Dysport®. The Cosmetic Consultation & Rejuvenation Process At the initial patient consultation, your facial structure, skin type and condition, age, medical history, previous procedures, finances along with realistic immediate and long term patient goals are considered when deciding on which treatment modality is most appropriate. Dr. Bartels will examine your face, take photographs for the medical file and discuss with you his recommendations for the most appropriate treatment. Patients typically start restoration with an anti-aging skin care program in conjunction with other cosmetic procedures for the best cosmetic outcome. At your consultation with Dr. Bartels and our skin care specialist will determine your skin type, educate you about the appropriate levels of treatment and develop a cosmetic treatment plan exclusively for you.
